Daniela supports broadly the extensive trades book of business that employs Portuguese workers.  Given both English and Portuguese fluency, Daniela ensures  a smoother onboarding and annual renewal process for employers on matters related to work / employment / labour policy, Portuguese Consulate issues, passport and travel issues.     Helpful, engaging, proactive personality type, Daniela is the operational glue that keeps things working smoothly.  See Daniela for copies of files, work permits etc - all of which are held electronically. 

Prior to joining Catalyst, Daniela worked for in banking and in retail.   

Daniela is married and a loving mother to two young boys and makes her home in Devonshire.

Corinne Frith (Ms.)

Client Services - Immigration

Holding almost 30 years of progressive experience in administrative experience across multiple industries, Corinne manages an immigration portfolio based in our Devonshire office.    Specifically, Corinne holds responsibility for initial applications and all matters POLO / POEA related, onboarding and visa administration . 

Prior to joining the Catalyst team, Corinne worked as an Accounts Manager with a leading advertising / marketing agency and is comfortable with all elements of marketing and creative design.  The absolute go to person relevant to service delivery. 

Mother to one, Dorian, a university student in CAnada, Corinne makes her home in Smiths Parish.   Enjoys reading and crime thriller storylines.

Cecil Hilario (Mrs) 

Resourcer  - Recruitment

Based in Manila, our largest source market, Cecil provides comprehensive recruitment and Filipino worker processing support to our Bermuda and Cayman Islands based clients.    As the dedicated on the ground resourcer,   Cecil prepares the required POEA  / POLO documents required, assists new hires with document completion and provides on onboarding / travel and OFW guidance.   And is the lead liaison with our partner agencies and POLO and the POEA.  Broadly, Cecil further supports the client relationship management / marketing needs of the group, the annual renewal process and the ongoing OEC, work permit, repatriation requirements for workers in Bermuda and Cayman Islands.   

Cecil trained as a Journalist and for a short while, worked for a local newspaper.    Prior to joining Catalyst, Cecil also worked as a Public Market Consultant  in Plaridel, Philippines and in Marketing & Mall Administration.   

Cecil is married to a Civil Engineer and a mother of two - Cecil Andrea, (20) a 3rd year Civil Engineering student at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila and Rocela (14) a grade 9 student.

Surlena Smith (Mrs) 

Client Services - Immigration 

With a varied administrative background, Surlena handles a bespoke portfolio of our work permit visa and passport clients.  Administratively driven with excellent client service skills, Surlena delivers a true nuts to bolts execution experience.    Advertising, interviewing, application collation to direct interface with the Department of Immigration.  Has close to 20 years experience in financial services and as a retirement consultant, and most recently has worked in her own business, so she knows first hand the importance of proper resourcing!   Talk to Surlena about the needs of administration for your non Bermudian work population. 

US born and married to a Bermudian, and mother to a teenager, Surlena makes her home in Spanish Point, Pembroke.

Barbara R Tannock (Ms.)

Director / Managing Consultant 

Barbara serves as Managing Director of the Group which offers a range of immigration, business consultancy, training & labour resourcing services.    As the lead Immigration Consultant, Barbara manages a portfolio of clients providing work permit, PRC and status application processing services.    Her practice expands to include full HR  & Talent Development and Management / Measurement, policy development and training.   Given a finance background, Barbara routinely provides strategic business and business valuation counsel to client companies.

Barbara holds a Masters of (Hons) Business Administration, Finance from Drexel University (1992), Philadelphia and a BBA, International Finance / Marketing from Temple University, also in Philadelphia (1991). Barbara later qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2000.    Prior to forming The Catalyst Group, Barbara enjoyed a number of progressively senior roles within the banking and investments sectors in Bermuda and abroad, the most recent as Senior Vice President of Clarien ​Bank, formerly Capital G Bank, responsible for a $1B private banking / trust book of business and 24 professional staff.   Barbara volunteers with a number of different charities, and is a former Trustee of the Vernon Temple AME Church. 

Barbara recently began law studies at the University of Law, London, England and favors a future in immigration and/or family law.   In her spare time, Barbara enjoys reading and spending time with her children, law student Ryley (23) and Jada Eden (12).   Barbara makes her home in Warwick. Bermuda.
